Lake Mountain Day Trip Snow Tour from Melbourne Itinerary
As we head to Lake Mountain, take in the views of the Yarra Valley, a wine region. We’ll stop at either Yarra Valley Gateway Estate Coldstream or Beechworth Bakery for lunch, where you can also shop for local produce, sweets and pastries.
Lake Mountain Ski Resort
Next, we head to Lake Mountain Alpine Resort, Melbourne’s closest ski resort. This resort has modern facilities, stunning alpine views, cross-country ski trails, toboggan runs, tube slopes and a snowman park.
Located 120km northeast of Melbourne, Lake Mountain is a cross country snow resort that gets over 100,000 visitors each year. At 1,480m above sea level it covers 2,400 hectares and has 37km of ski trails and 3 toboggan hills.
You’ll have 3 hours of snow play time on this Melbourne snow tour. If you’re a first-timer, there’s plenty to do. Take a cross-country skiing lesson, toboggan down the slopes or build your own snowman. And don’t forget to have a snowball fight!
