Tour Reviews
Great ocean road Had a unreal day on the great ocean road on joes bus couldn’t recommend highly enough
Good experience Really good way to see the Great Ocean Road and 13 apostles from Brisbane.Lots of information and stops that you might miss if doing the trip independently. To do the trip from Melbourne you really need 2 days if driving yourself so this was a good way to see it in a day with a driver.
Awesome Australia! We’ve done 5 tours in Australia with different companies. This one was, by far, the best! Anthony was friendly, knowledgeable, and informative. He didn’t over talk. He took great care with all the guests of various ages. The Great Ocean Road was perfectly paced. Reverse is the way to go. He also brought us to see koalas and kangaroos out in the wild. No petting zoo like most other tours. Highly recommended!
Experienca inolvidable I want to leave an amazing review for Joel (Marlin J), my driver and guide on the Great Ocean Road and Grampians. He was great, stopping at iconic and hidden spots. Saw lots of native wildlife, it was a dream! Food was delicious and he drives super well, didn't get car sick! Highly recommend ❤️. Thanks, Joel!
Beautiful tour, would highly recommend I had a really fantastic experience with Autopia tours doing the Great Ocean Road. Coco was a great tour guide - really knowledgeable, funny, kind and put our safety first. Plenty of breaks to stretch the legs and have snacks. He even knew the best spots to see wild koalas and kangaroos!Would highly recommend this excursion!
Amazing day! We did the Great Ocean Road Reversed Tour and had an amazing day. Our guide, Coco, was brilliant, very knowledgeable and shared lots of interesting little facts along the way. I would recommend him 100%. The music on the bus was great and added to the fun atmosphere. Everything he said we would see, we did – including the stunning Twelve Apostles. We saw plenty of koalas and kangaroos, and the weather turned out perfect. We also had a coffee stop and later a delicious lunch with a great selection of sandwiches and a little pudding, which was a lovely touch. Coco kept us entertained all day, such a lovely experience, highly recommend.
A superb journey through some spectacular scenery This was a brilliant tour of the impressive Great Ocean Road. We saw all the highlights of the coastal scenery, including everything in the Twelve Apostles National Park. We ventured into the beautiful rain forest at Melba Gully. We saw koalas not far from Apollo Bay and kangaroos near the Twelve Apostles. Joe, our driver guide, was outstanding. His commentary was always interesting and to the point. He did not bombard us with too many facts, unlike many guides. He knew where to find koalas and kangaroos. It is a long day, but it was very worthwhile.
All the sights of the great ocean road Great tour from Joe and Mick. Took us all down the great ocean road with the best stops and even saw some kangaroos. Unfortunately the koalas were in hiding today
12 Apostles, Great Ocean Road Tour and More! Anthony was my tour guide and driver for the Great Ocean Road Tour and he was awesome! We had a wonderful time learning about all things history, visiting local towns and even stopping to see kangaroos and koalas! He knew all the best lookouts and places to see along the way. I would highly recommend this tour for any adventurers and families!
Stunning scenery, rich culture, and a perfect escape from Melbourne. An exceptional full-day experience exploring the magnificent Grampians National Park with Autopia. The tour was well-paced, offering breathtaking scenery, opportunities to spot native wildlife, and insightful commentary about the area’s rich Indigenous culture. Although it’s a long day, the journey is well worth it for anyone looking to experience the natural beauty and spirit of Victoria beyond the city.
Great tour!! The Great Ocean Tour was fantastic. The Twelve Apostles were perfectly visible, with no fog at all. A highlight was the additional stop where we got to see kangaroos. Overall, it was a wonderful and highly recommended tour.
Unforgettable trip on Great ocean road The 12 Apostles and Great Ocean Road were absolutely unforgettable. The scenery was stunning, and our experience was made even better thanks to Guide with Joe and Bil—knowledgeable, friendly, and truly passionate.
Must go! Great trip. Good to start with the 2 apostles as the weather is really good in the morning Joe and Bill have been really professional and we managed to see koalas and kangaroos!
Lovely day trip! Lovely day tour departing from Melbourne ! The nature is incredible! Many stops along the way that gives you a bit of time to get a feeling for great ocean road when you don’t have enough time for more days
Go For It! We had an absolutely beautiful day along the ocean. The 12 Apostles were stunning against the white surf and blue sky. The lunch provided was a bit light (a sandwich and apple) maybe a small bag of chips (crisps) would have been nice. We sat right behind Anthony, our driver, and had many interesting and informative conversations. I highly recommend this trip.

Get out of the city and head inland to the Shipwreck Coast via Colac and do the Great Ocean Road in reverse. Avoid the usual tourist traps and experience the coast without the crowds. This alternative itinerary allows you to see the famous coastline without the masses.
By doing the Great Ocean Road in reverse on our tour, you will see the National Heritage listed sites in a different way. We will avoid the crowds at the 12 Apostles and you will have the perfect opportunity to take some amazing photos in peace. Don’t worry we still include all the highlights and stops of the standard itinerary so you won’t miss out on anything.
We start the day at the 12 Apostles and Loch Ard Gorge in Port Campbell. Take in the beauty of Mutton Bird Island and Razorback. Look out for some amazing views. Then, we will do a guided walk at either Maits Rest or Melba Gully, an ancient rainforest where you will see some of the tallest trees in the Great Otway National Park.
As we drive along this National Heritage-listed road, you will be surrounded by rolling hills, beaches, ocean views and rainforest. One of the world’s most scenic coastal roads, the Great Ocean Road lets you see it all without the crowds. Our local friendly guides will also be on the lookout for Australian koalas, as this coastal region is home to them in the Eucalyptus forests.
Then, we will stop at the Great Ocean Road Memorial Arch, a popular and photographed spot along the coast. This monument is to the World War One servicemen who built the Great Ocean Road, 243km long and completed in 1932. A great spot to get a group photo under the arch to post on social media. Then, we will wind our way back to Melbourne’s city. Driving Distance: 530km.
